When is the best time to start investing?
If you ask anyone who is currently investing when they wish they had started, they would say they wish they started investing as soon as they turned 18. That’s because the longer you let your money sit there and grow, the more free money you’ll make.
In many countries, including Canada, the legal age you can start investing at is age 18 (except BC, which is age 19). But it’s never too late to start. And the sooner you get started, the more your money will grow for free. As the saying goes, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now”.
